My equipment includes:
A Rode Nt2A condenser microphone with shock mount & pop guard, a FocusRite Scarlett Solo interface and a Tascam TM-AM1 Boom Mic Stand. I record with these on my 2024 MacBook Pro laptop using Audacity as my Digital Audio Workstation. I am proficient with basic audio editing so can also do this myself depending on the nature/scale of the project.
Remote Recording
Having only just moved over to Australia, I am yet to get my home studio set up, but I have all my top of the range industry-standard equipment with me, and access to quiet spaces where I can record remotely, before I set up my own studio here in the next few months.
I absolutely love working at professional recording studios with sound engineers, so I’m happy either way, but I may be able to save you or your client money by recording remotely, provided it suits the nature of the job.
